Caprisongs (Album)
Pop/Hyperpop
By: FKA twigs
The latest mixtape from FKA twigs combines the experimental elements of hyperpop with all the emotion and feeling of breaking down crying on the dancefloor. Playing with tweaked vocals and dancehall beats, Twigs creates a lyrically-vulnerable but sonically-adventurous project that is worth the listen for the ethereal vibes alone.
Notable Standout: FKA twigs does a UK drill/pop track with Unknown T called “Darjeeling” that was not on my 2022 bingo card, but that deserves a listen right now.

Drip Season 4Ever
Trap
By: Gunna
Nobody expected Gunna to outsell the Weeknd’s debut, but here we are. The luxurious string/piano trap production that Gunna is oh-so-comfortable rapping and crooning on stands out during this project. Featuring strong guest features from Drake, Young Thug, and Roddy Rich, Gunna continues to prove that people aren’t bored yet of his delivery and music. An album containing more than 70 references to some more than PG-13 behaviour, this is certainly the entertaining project.
Notable Standout: Pushin P, Pushin P we Pushin P
