Nine, ten, eleven. Eleven issues of time with you has breezed by, many issues too short to part. This past year has taught us more than we had ever imagined learning as our first time running a newspaper and captaining a club. It has softly, unknowingly, seeped into many other corners of our lives, becoming a staple we wouldn’t trade for something else. We are grateful to you for having been alongside us as a silent source of power during this learning experience. Our temporary parting this summer only excites us even more: we can finally sit down and plan even cooler initiatives for you, for the community, for next year! We can’t wait to unveil those when we reconvene in September. Or maybe not immediately unveil, shhh…
You’ve already heard too much from us this past year, so we’re keeping this letter short and sweet. There’s so much that we want to share with you, that we could share with you, but we’d much rather you take some time for yourself, give yourself a well-deserved break from school, and just breathe: soak in the sun, soak in merry fun.
So if you’re here on this back page, thank you; but now, it’s time for you to give your attention to your friends, your family, your loved ones, and you—yes, like those neglected hobbies sneezing dust bunnies in the corner of your mental list of priorities…
We will meet again. Count on it.
The fun we’ve had as a team serving you and conversing with you—our treasured readers—won’t fade. They’ll stay golden in our memories, golden in Trinity Times’ continued journey, like the sprinkle of fairy dust upon a hot summer’s day.
To your golden summer,
Elaine Zhou & Gurnoor Gujral
