This marks a wrap on our 2022 publications. You’ve probably noticed how much longer this one is compared to previous issues: we wanted to share in the giving spirit of Christmas and the holidays, so our staff worked hard in the face of exams to roll these out for your enjoyment.
It has been one blaze of a ride this semester! Under all the innovations and revamps we went through, we could not have made it to where we are now without your continued support. Our semesterly print issue, released on Nov 21, is anticipated to reach a distribution rate of about 100%, which was a gift for us—it tells us that our hard work in serving the student community is valued.
We’re also excited to formally announce the beginning of casual contributions to our paper. We know that many of you often chance upon a topic you strongly resonate with––one that inspires within you an urge to write––but cannot necessarily commit to a full year of writing with us: this opportunity is for you! Examples of such contributions are already on display within our Holiday Issue. Our intake of casual contributions will be more formalized in the coming year with more detailed guidelines. Follow our Instagram @trin_times to stay tuned.
As we approach the end of a treacherous exam season, give yourself a break, and let the festivities begin! We wish you only the best in this year’s winter break as you celebrate the close of a year and the beginning of another with your families and dearest friends—we hope it is filled with unending merriment (that is finally stress-free!), tinkling laughter, delectable confectionaries, and affectionate warmth.
Anticipating our reconvening in the New Year,
Elaine Zhou & Gurnoor Gujral
